Student Athlete Support Services
I have primarily served in few roles for the University of Cincinnati Student-Athlete Support Services department. The University of Cincinnati Student-Athlete Support Services department is lead by Dr. Joseph Luckey. Throughout my time working in the office I have gained valuable experience and knowledge to help further my career in the sports industry.
1. Graduate Assistant (August 2014 - May 2015)
My main responsibilities as a Graduate Assistant included but was not limited to serving as an academic coach to members of the football, women's basketball and lacrosse teams. I also gained many duties of planning and executing major department events such as the Forever Bearcats Networking Night, and the end of the year Bearcat's Honors event.
2. Academic Coach (June 2013 - Present)
Work one on one with individual student-athletes on balancing the demands of being a D1 athlete and being a successful
college student. Work with student-athletes on developing time-management skills, efficient study skills, professionalism, and help them gain confidence and independence in the classroom.
3. Practicum and Capstone Student (January - December 2013)
Work with the Student-Athlete Support Services Staff lead by Dr. Joseph Luckey to assist on projects throughout the office. Projects include but are not limited to researching Graduation Success Rates and making comparisons across the schools in our conference. Organizing data weekly from our Academic Counselors on their student-athlete academic commitment reports. Summarizing data such as GPA's, academic commitments and more at the end of each academic term. Organizing and balancing book orders with book receipts for all student-athletes. Assisting in the organization and score keeping for our own staff olympics and multiple other projects throughout the year.
